Welcome back Wildcats! We hope you had a restful summer and are excited to be back at Rhodes Middle School.

The library has received some new items over the summer, so stop by and check out what is new! We are in the process of checking out sets of textbooks to parents so that students can have them to complete their homework assignments.

Our library hours are from 7:45am to 3:45pm, Monday through Friday.

Come in, drop by, read the paper or a magazine or check out a book. Remember, “Readers are Leaders”.

We will be having our Fall Book Fair October 1st – 5th, details are forthcoming.

Study hard and make good choices and this will be the best school year ever!

SAISD Connections is here! Rhodes Technology Students will be able to log in to receive class lessons, Intention Outlines, Objectives and links from their Technology Instructors. We are looking forward to giving our students the opportunity to receive this real world experience!

I am very excited about this year. Our new theme for the year is “Meet the Challenge.” I hope that everyone is up to the task as our goal this year is to become not only a level 5 campus, but an exemplary campus. Our teachers worked very hard the first two weeks of school getting their rooms, materials, and lesson plans ready for a strong start. So far, so good! We have had a very smooth start of the year.

Parent Handbooks will be going home soon! Parents, please review the dress code policy, the tardy policy, and the Friday detention policy with your child. Only by working together can we ensure success academically and socially. If you have any questions regarding our policies, please feel free to call me at the school, 433-5092. Hello from Rhodes Technology Dept!

This event rewarded our students allowing them to socialize in a festive atmosphere on 054.23.07.
Rhodes Rules Challenge 2007 Outdoor Activites: Bunjee Run, Obstacle Course, Joust, Basketball, Football, Soccer and Volleyball Tournament, Music and Dancing with DJ Explosion, Dunking Booth (Special Thanks to Ms. Cavazos, Ms. Lichtenfeld, Mr. Kichura and Mr. Ledezma.)

Indoor Activites: Chess Tournament in the Library, Movies in the Auditorium amd Mind Games in Rm 602.
Munchies: Frito & Cheeto Pies, Drinks & Ice Cream

Fun was had by all!
